Sean McCarthy

Sean McCarthy is doctoral candidate in the Department of English in the Digital Literatures and Literacies concentration. His research sits at the intersection between community writing and digital media, in particular how non-profit organizations use networked social media tools to organize, sustain, and promote their work. McCarthy teaches courses in writing and rhetoric that focus on collaborative writing in digital environments and the impact of communication technologies on social change. McCarthy is an Assistant Director of the Digital Research and Writing Lab, a co-principal investigator of the Mart Community Project, a HASTAC scholar, and a Digital Media and Learning Hub Summer Institute Fellow.
